Making friends and learning to be part of a community are the essential aims of Fun Factory. Our Fun Factory programme has been specially designed for parents, grandparents and children from birth through age three.
Fun Factory helps children learn to socialise, play harmoniously, interact with adults constructively and share in a safe and friendly community setting. Babies are provided with a soft-play area. Children already walking and learning to speak are introduced to a variety of structured activities, including singing, movement, creative projects and basic Welsh nouns and numbers. A wholesome snack is provided for children during each session in a tables-and-chairs setting whilst adults enjoy tea and coffee.
School readiness is a growing concern. Parents, grandparents and others who care for young children in Rhondda Cynon Taff continue to express interest in activities and events which address this concern. Fun Factory is a great way to help prepare very young children for the local school Link Up programme.
Safety is of primary importance, so all staff and volunteers who work with or near children at Arts Factory are vetted through CRB checks. Parents and grandparents are required to remain with their children during Fun Factory sessions.
“Fun Factory” stay and play sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 11.30am each week at Trerhondda. All pre-school children and their parents and carers are welcome.
