Arts Factory’s Youth Programme is designed for young people aged 11-25, of all levels of ability. The programme is headed by our Youth Co-ordinator, Sarah Slye. Sarah has been involved in youth and community education work for seven years and is a native of Ferndale.
Arts Factory is committed to community regeneration and community cohesion. Our opportunities-for-all philosophy includes the understanding that facilitating the personal, social and economic development of youth is crucial to the future of any society. It is particularly urgent to do so in socially and economically deprived areas. Our youth programme attempts to engage young people in positive activities and to help them form constructive relationships with each other and with the communities in which they live.
Most aspects of the programme are designed to include youth members with special needs. Activities young people can expect to enjoy through this new Youth programme include fashion and design, Stay & Chat, singing and song writing, special events and a variety of sports.
