Leisure learning and further education activities play a vital role in community regeneration at Arts Factory. Gentle Yoga, Woodworking, Dance & Keep Fit for people with disabilities, Basic Computers, Cheerleading, weekly book sales and a full weekly youth programme feature among the many offerings to Arts Factory members.
Our selection of courses and events is based on our knowledge of community needs and the expression of public interest. From time to time we canvass Arts Factory members and visitors asking what they would like to learn, see and do in our facilities.
We organise special events and Open Days to promote healthy living, stress reduction and wholesome fun and improved literacy. Taster sessions (one-off class sessions) to introduce the public to learning activities offered at Arts Factory are periodically available to those who want to try an activity before paying an entire course fee.
Our quarterly held “Feel Good Fridays” have proved an outstanding success where the public can enjoy taster sessions in a number of activities such as reflexology, indian head massage, sports therapy, fitness advice, healthy eating, craft activities, depression advice, henna tattoos, nails & beauty treatments and many more. New activities are brought in on a regular basis to keep the event fresh and enable the public to try a wide as possible range of activities.
If you have a particular hobby or talent that you would like to showcase at one of our events or have any ideas or suggestions for future courses and activities for the community then please contact Rosalynne Slye with your ideas and suggestions on 01443 757 954 or by e-mailing ros@artsfactory.co.uk
