Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinator

Primary purpose of the role:

To engage with the local community and partner organisations to deliver a variety of community led Health & Wellbeing sessions to alleviate loneliness and isolation and improve mental health.

Responsible to: Head of Operations

Salary – £23,660 per annum (35hrs per week)

Job Description:

Project planning – Design and delivery of programmes for various Health & Wellbeing projects.

Budget Management – manage the projects budgets and update cost spreadsheet, monitor spends.

Support and advice/peer mentoring – Open door policy support given to volunteers & community members.

Needs assessment/mapping – Research groups, classes and literature of the local area so there is no duplication of services. Work in collaboration with other local organisations.

In house delivery of nutritional, physical and activity sessions to groups.

Events – To plan and deliver internal and external events working with key stakeholders & charities.

Signposting – Working with organisations within the local and wider community to provide a service network that initiates a safe space, combat social isolation, reduce hospital admissions and support the individual’s needs.

Monitoring & Evaluation – using the Edinburgh and Warwick tools to monitor individual’s progress and provide statistical and evaluated information to management for Impact Report and funders.

Provide accurate and timely management information as required.

Person Specification:


A thorough understanding of, and commitment to, Arts Factory’s mission & values.

The ability to work positively with people of all walks of life.

An understanding of the barriers that may prevent disadvantaged people from participating in community projects, and the skills to overcome them.

Enthusiasm, and the ability to generate enthusiasm in others.

The ability to lead, coordinate and manage a project team of volunteers.

A well organised approach.

Customer care skills.

Well developed communication skills.

IT literate.

A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and good practice.

A strong commitment to the principles of sustainable development.


Clean Driving License and use of a vehicle.
